MoguWind

Import your route

How to get the GPX file of your route

MoguWind Plan analyses wind for any route you have in GPX format, the universal file format in cycling. Here are step by step guides to download a GPX from the most-used apps and websites. Once you have it, drag it onto the home page and you are done.

Garmin Connect

From the web (connect.garmin.com)

  1. Open connect.garmin.com and load the activity or course you want to analyse.
  2. Click the gear icon (⚙️) at the top right of the activity.
  3. Choose "Export to GPX". Your browser downloads the file.

From the mobile app (Garmin Connect iOS / Android)

  1. Open the activity in the app.
  2. Tap the three dots (···) at the top right.
  3. Choose "Export GPX" and share it to yourself (email, AirDrop, Drive…) so you have it on the device where you will use MoguWind.

Strava

If you have many routes or activities, the smoothest path is to connect Strava directly with one click (no passwords, official OAuth). If you would rather export the GPX by hand, that works too.

An activity

  1. Open the activity on strava.com.
  2. Click the three dots (···) next to the map.
  3. Choose "Export GPX".

A planned route

  1. Open the route on strava.com/routes.
  2. Click the "Export" icon above the map.
  3. Choose "Export GPX".

Wikiloc

  1. Open the route on wikiloc.com.
  2. In the side panel click "Download".
  3. Pick the GPX track format. Downloading other people's tracks usually needs a Premium account; your own uploads are free.

Komoot

  1. Open the tour on komoot.com (web).
  2. Click the "⋯" button below the map.
  3. Choose "Export GPX". Komoot exports both the planned route and, if you recorded it, the actual activity.

Ride With GPS

  1. Open the route or activity on ridewithgps.com.
  2. In the right-hand panel click "Export".
  3. Choose GPX Track (or "Route" for a planned route). The file downloads immediately.

Shortcut: MoguWind can also import Ride With GPS routes by URL. Paste the route link and we fetch it automatically.

Bikemap

  1. Open the route on bikemap.net.
  2. Click "Download" in the right panel.
  3. Choose GPX. Like Ride With GPS, you can also paste the URL directly into MoguWind and it will import it for you.

What if I do not have a route yet?

If the route is not saved anywhere yet, you can draw it inside MoguWind in 30 seconds: drop points on the map and the builder calculates the cycling line between them. The GPX is generated and analysed automatically.

I have the GPX

Great. Drag it onto the home page or click "Upload GPX". The wind analysis appears in seconds, no account and no signup.
